Chief Beau Dick, Walas Gwa’yam (1955–2017), was an Indigenous (Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw) artist and professor at the University of British Columbia, Canada, who gained recognition with his inclusion in documenta 14 in 2017. He had a posthumous show Devoured by Consumerism at White Columns in 2019. Cole Speck, also featured in Winterfest, was an apprentice of the artist.
