LA-based artist, Owen Fu came to the U.S. to study philosophy before studying painting with Laura Owens at ArtCenter College of Design. His paintings often tell humorously personal stories with a unique brand of fantasy and pathos. The new series of paintings for Winterfest feature pastoral motifs with spooky, rolling landscapes and farmers (which may or may not be imagined self-portraits) in repose after a long, bountiful harvest.
